Silent installations run without user input and with no indication to the user that an installation is occurring. On Windows operating systems you can call the Adaptive Server Anywhere InstallShield setup program from your own setup program in such a way that the Adaptive Server Anywhere installation is silent. Silent installs are also used with Microsoft's Systems Management Server (see SMS Installation).
You can use a silent installation for any of the deployment models described in Deployment models. You can also use a silent installation for deploying MobiLink synchronization servers.
