Upgrading databases that are too old for the Upgrade utility

To upgrade a database created with a version of Adaptive Server Anywhere that is too old to be upgraded

Unload the database using the Unload utility.
Create a database with the name you wish to use for the upgraded version using the Initialization utility.
Connect to the new database from Interactive SQL as the DBA user ID, and read the reload.sql command file to build the new database.

You can also use the dbunload utility to directly rebuild.
