An MBeanServerInterceptor that forwards every request unchanged to another MBeanServerInterceptor. This class is useful as a superclass for interceptors that override some its methods and perform some action before forwarding to the chained interceptor. Subclasses forward methods such as getAttribute(javax.management.ObjectName, java.lang.String) by calling super.getAttribute(...). They may of course choose not to forward if appropriate.

Any number of ForwardingMBeanServerInterceptor objects may be chained together on the path from the MBean server to its default MBeanServerInterceptor. This class provides convenience methods to manipulate such a chain.

The same ForwardingMBeanServerInterceptor instance should not be inserted into more than one MBean server at a time.

Create a new ForwardingMBeanServerInterceptor that initially forwards its requests to nobody. setNextInterceptor(com.sun.jdmk.interceptor.MBeanServerInterceptor) should be called before the interceptor is inserted into an MBean server. Otherwise, NullPointerException will be produced for every operation on that MBean server.

getNextInterceptor

The next MBeanServerInterceptor in the chain. This is the value that was most recently given to the setNextInterceptor(com.sun.jdmk.interceptor.MBeanServerInterceptor) method, or null if that method has never been called on this object.

insertFirst

Insert this ForwardMBeanServerInterceptor at the tail of the chain of interceptors in a JdmkMBeanServer. A chain of interceptors is defined here as a list of ForwardingMBeanServerInterceptor objects, starting with lmbs.getMBeanServerInterceptor(), where each one is linked to the next. The chain ends with a ForwardingMBeanServerInterceptor, f, whose next interceptor, n is not a ForwardingMBeanServerInterceptor, including the case where n is null. This ForwardingMBeanServerInterceptor is inserted between f and n. So on return from this method,
f.getNextInterceptor() == this, and
this.getNextInterceptor() == n.

The chain may be empty, in which case this method is equivalent to insertFirst(lmbs).

If lmbs.getMBeanServerInterceptor() == this, then on return from this method, lmbs.getMBeanServerInterceptor() == this.getNextInterceptor().

Otherwise, let p be the ForwardingMBeanServerInterceptor in the chain where p.getNextInterceptor() == this. (If there is no such interceptor, InterceptorNotPresentException is thrown.
